Introducing Annie-Chan, an anime fan’s avatar. Like her creator, she’s an elitist fangirl in the worst imaginable way. Hayao Miyazaki plans to make a sequel to his 1992 film “Porco Rosso.” It would be his first “direct sequel”.
I was originally going to have Annie-san call Ash “Satoshi”, his Japanese name. The new Pokemon series, known in Japan as “Pokemon Best Wishes” premieres on September 23rd. In it, Ash is sporting a new design.
Ya notice he says Anime characters instead of anime toons? It doesn’t really sound right. Maybe I’ll call them just “animes” for short in the future. This was fun to color!
